Our Story

More Than Care, It’s a Place to Call Home

Millport Villas began with a simple conviction: that growing older should not mean moving into an institution. So we care for a handful of residents in an ordinary house on an ordinary street — because that is where people feel most like themselves.

Our mission

To offer the practical help of assisted living without the scale, noise or anonymity that usually comes with it.

Resident-focused

Care is built around what each person can still do on their own, and where a steady hand makes the day easier.

Family connection

Families stay part of daily life here — visit, call, join a meal. You remain the son or daughter, not a visitor.

What We Provide

Care that covers the whole day, not just the difficult moments

Our support is built around what each resident can still do independently — and where a steady hand makes the day easier and safer.

Daily Living Assistance

Practical, dignified help with the routines of the day — at the resident's own pace.

Dressing & Bathing

Personal care delivered with patience, privacy and genuine respect.

Housekeeping & Laundry

Clean rooms, fresh linens and laundry handled so families do not have to.

Mobility & Transfer Assistance

Safe, trained support moving between bed, chair and around the home.

Activities & Engagement

Music, gentle exercise, games and conversation that keep the day interesting.

Family Support Programs

Guidance, updates and a point of contact for the whole family, not just the resident.

Why Families Choose Us

The questions you are really asking, answered honestly

Choosing care for a parent is rarely about amenities. It is about whether someone will notice when they are unwell, and whether they will still feel like themselves.

A small residence, not a facility floor

Staff know every resident's history, habits and preferences by name.

Care that adapts

Plans are reviewed as needs change — including dementia care, incontinence care and hospice care support.

24 hour supervision

Someone is awake and present through the night.

Families stay involved

Visit, call, join a meal — you remain part of daily life here.

Transparent communication

You hear about changes from us first, not at the next visit.

Come and see for yourself

The best answer to most questions is a quiet walk through the house.

Why Families Choose Us

Small by design, so every day is built around six people — not a schedule.

24h

Awake Supervision

Staff on site every hour, every day of the year.

60+

Residents Welcomed

Seniors aged 60 and over cared for as family.

1:1

Personal Care Plan

One written plan per resident, reviewed as needs change.

3+

Fresh Meals Daily

Home-cooked meals plus snacks, to each resident's diet.

The People Who Care

Familiar faces, not a rotating roster

Continuity is part of the care. Residents see the same team, which is how small changes in mood, appetite or mobility get noticed early.

Dining & Nutrition

Meals that people actually look forward to

Appetite often fades with age — so food here is cooked fresh, seasoned properly and served at a table where people talk to each other.

At the table Three home-cooked meals a day, eaten together
  • Cooked in-house, three times a day Plus snacks and hydration offered through the day — never left on a tray in a hallway.
  • Dietary needs accommodated Low sodium, diabetic-friendly, soft and modified textures — planned, not improvised.
  • Likes and dislikes on record Every care plan notes what someone actually enjoys — and what they will quietly refuse.
  • Assistance given discreetly Mealtime help wherever it is needed, without singling anyone out at the table.

Common Questions

Answers before you call

If your question is not here, we would rather you simply ask us directly.

Ask a Question

We are a residential care facility for the elderly — non-medical assisted living. That covers help with daily living, personalised care plans, housekeeping, dressing and bathing assistance, nutritious dining, activities and mobility support. We do not provide medical or psychiatric treatment.

Yes — 24 hour supervision is provided. Speak with our team about the specific staffing pattern that would support your family member's needs.

We provide dementia care, incontinence care and hospice care support within our residential, non-medical scope — often alongside a family's own hospice or home-health provider. Talk to us about the specific situation and we will be straightforward about what we can and cannot take on.

Tell us a preferred date and time through the tour request form or call us. Tours take about half an hour: you will see the rooms and common areas, meet the team and have time for questions. You are welcome to bring your parent along.

Costs depend on the level of care in the personalised plan. Please contact us directly and we will walk you through it.

Yes. Family involvement is part of how we work. Visit, call, join a meal or take part in an activity — we only ask that visits respect other residents' rest and routines.
